I just came through your SMH plugin, and I'm wondering if it'd be appropriate for me. What I need is not to miss if some of my contacts come online or change their status otherwise, while I'm not watching.
Currently, I'm using the Last Seen plugin, which is almost exactly what I want - except that it collects status history to a separate list, not the contact's ordinary history. Here I'm talking about status history, not status message history, and that's what I'm really interested in. That's primarily why I'm asking whether I could use your plugin or not.

This plugin will only log status message changes and not status changes, so I don't think that it is what you are looking for.
